Basic Dysrhythmia Review For KershawHealth Employees Only

Description: This program will describe the normal cardiac anatomy and physiology, list the normal electrical pathway and describe the significance of each wave form in the cardiac cycle. The learner will have many opportunities to practice calculating the PR interval, QRS width and OT interval on sample waveforms. There will be a review of proper lead placement for 5 lead monitoring. Sample ECG strips will be used for the learner to measure and interpret . At the completion of the program, the learner will be able to discuss the signif icance of the electrical conduction of the hear t and the abnormal heart rhythms that develop from abnormal conduction

Fees: Non-members: $90 (if opened up to anyone else other than Kershaw Health.

This program is approved for 0.6 CEU’s (6.0 clock hours) of continuing education by Mid-Carolina AHEC, Inc. and meets the SC AHEC Best Practices Standards. Participants must attend 90% of the program in order to receive a certificate of attendance. No partial credit will be given.

Mid-Carolina AHEC is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by South Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
