Where: MUSC Lancaster
Speaker: Lyn Gilliam, RN, MN, CCRN
Learning Outcomes:
This program will describe the normal cardiac anatomy and physiology, list the normal electrical pathway and describe the significance of each wave form in the cardiac cycle. The learner will have many opportunities to practice calculating the PR interval, QRS width and OT interval on sample waveforms. There will be a review of proper lead placement for 5 lead monitoring. Sample ECG strips will be used for the learner to measure and interpret. At the completion of the program, the learner will be able to discuss the significance of the electrical conduction of the heart and the abnormal heart rhythms that develop from abnormal conduction
